NSW: Talks on Long Bay jail staffing break down: union

Prison guards at Long Bay jail in Sydney will take their complaints about understaffing
back to the Industrial Relations Commission .. this morning.

Prison officers returned to work yesterday after Monday's recommendation from the IRC
.. with union representatives beginning talks about staffing with the Department of Corrective
Services.

Spokesman STEWART LITTLE says staff shortfalls are compromising officer safety at the prison.
